The 2018 Midwest Agility Open will be held on Oct. 20th in Dixon, IL at the Granny Rose K-9 Enrichment Center.   Details are as follows.

• Cost will be $40 ($25 to prize pool and $15 to expenses).
  • Each jump height will have a separate prize pool.
  • Prize pool breakdown here.
  • Once expenses are met all additional money is allocated to the prize pool
• 3 guaranteed rounds (2 jumping and 1 agility) with a 4th round as finals (agility).
  • Depending on entry size, must run at least one round without an E to be eligible for finals prize money.
  • Finals round is reverse seeded and is scored separate from all other rounds
• Scoring is time + faults with no refusals scored.
  • Up contacts will be judged.
  • Formula for advancing to finals TBD after an idea on entry size.
  • I want to make sure we have a formula that will make for an exciting finals by having enough competitors in the finals in each height.
• 5 jump heights – 8″, 12″, 16″, 20″, 24″
  • Cut-offs are the following:
    • 8″ – up to 11″
    • 12″ – 11.01″ – 14″
    • 16″ – 14.01″ – 17.5″
    • 20″ – 17.51″ – 21.5″
    • 24″ – 21.51″ +
  • Can choose to run at a higher height than you measure.
  • No measuring will be done, but a height card from another organization will be required.
  • Can choose to run at a lower height than your measured height (Performance).
• Courses designed by Shane Miller.
  • Courses will be designed for large and medium/small.
• Bitches in season are allowed.  Panties will be required at start line.  Will run in order.
• Judge will be Shane Miller.
• Location is Granny Rose K-9 Enrichment Center 613 River Lane Dixon, IL 61021
  • Competition will be indoors on turf.
  • Food will not be provided.  Please bring your own.
• Start time will be determined once we have an estimate of entry size.  Most likely between 8am-10am.
• Closing date will be Oct. 12th.
